Medications made of mallow leaves, blossoms or roots (infusion, gargle/throat-wash or packing lotion) have been basically recommended to use in case of pharyngites following common colds. Besides it was a favourite cure in vapour-compress sheets to treat and bring up to burst abscesses/furuncles or purulent inflammations. At the same time they belonged to the most frequently used components of surgical plasters.
Nowadays they are used as components of expectorant or cough reliever herbal tea mixtures.
It contains:
- significant quantities of vitamin C,
- flavonoids,
-a little amount of volatile oils.
Its effects:
- freshening, enlivening, toning,
- a significant source of vitamin C,
- good expectorant, cough reliever,
- excellently applicable in case of laryngitis,
- It is beneficial to the digestion.
